Movie Info

A reserved teen with a walking, talking teddy bear falls under the spell of a mysterious new classmate with a dark secret in this genre-bending, psychosexual coming of age fantasy from director Marçal Forés. By outward appearances, Pol (Oriol Pla) is a typical teenager. But when Pol's all alone with his plush pal Deerhoof, the little stuffed bear springs to life. Meanwhile, a new student named Ikari (Augustus Prew) has enrolled in school, peaking curious Pol's interest. Just as Pol begins to experience a sudden onset of urges he's never known, however, his world is shaken by a mysterious death, and a series of inexplicable events that seem bend his very concept of reality. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Critic Reviews for Animals

I typically have to put a lot of effort into caring about teenagers, it is easy to care about Pol. He isn't lost, of trying to find himself like many predictable teens in films, but rather he is curious and along for the ride when it comes to his time.
